LEAD Team Application

The Leadership Education And Development  (L.E.A.D.) Team is a group of dedicated Iowa State student leaders committed to the advancement of student leadership opportunities on campus. Members of the team have the opportunity to further develop and apply their leadership skills through the planning of large-scale conferences, retreats, and individual workshops for recognized student organizations, as well as offering assistance to ISU students looking to start an organization. Team members also gain experience in other areas such as public speaking, consulting, networking, and marketing. In this role, students will serve as role models and mentors to others, and assist the Student Activities Center in its purpose of helping Iowa State students become more engaged citizens and active campus leaders.

Applications are due Wednesday, April 5 by 5:00 PM.  You will be contacted on Friday, April 7 with times to set up an interview. Interviews will be during the week of April 10. 


  • Director of Registration and Assessment
    • Develops registration applications for all events
    • Communicates details about all events to registered participates 
    • Formulates and manages check-in processes
    • Designs and implements assessment and evaluation of all events


  • Director of Public Relations and Marketing​
    • Design and submit graphics request for all events
    • Plan and implement all display boards for events
    • Coordinate the recruitment of attendees and volunteers
    • Manage social media pages


  • Director of Event Management
    • Coordinates and designs the logistics and production plans
    • Event schedules
    • Corresponds with speaker and presenters 


  • Director of Service
    • Partnering with Service programs as a liaison
    • Promoting and Marketing service resources and events
    • Aids in marketing of the Leadership and Service Center with Director of Public Relations and Marketing


  • Director of Outreach
    • Oversees outreach and follow up is being done once an organization is recognized
    • Finding new programs/what is coming up outside of our program
    • Aids in marketing of the Leadership and Service Center with Director of Public Relations and Marketing


General Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 office hours per week (program weeks may require 12+ hours, including program attendance)
  • Attend Leadership and/or Service Programs as deemed necessary by supervisor (will be based on needs of each program)
  • Attend weekly staff meeting with all LSC staff and supervisor
