About Organizations at Iowa State University Student organizations are a vital part of Iowa State University. These groups provide many opportunities for leadership and involvement. The 600 student organizations on campus represent a variety of interests and produce an amazing array of things to see and do throughout the school year. In order to have a strong organization we suggest that executive board members attend organization training and participate in Leadership Programs and Conferences. Your Grades are IMPORTANT to Us! Research has shown that a student's involvement in campus activities can assist in one's connection to campus and in one's success in the classroom. The struggle for some students is balancing with their campus involvement with their academic pursuits.
