Exhibit Your Art at the MU
Memorial Union Artist Submission Information
About the Art Exhibition Program:
The art exhibition program has existed at the Memorial Union since the 1930s, when the Iowa artists’ show was brought from the State Fair and included works by Grant Wood and other Iowa notables. At that time, shows were installed in the Great Hall. When the 1953 and 1964 additions were completed, exhibits moved to the third floor into spaces designed for the display of art works.
The exhibition program is an important component of the overall educational and enrichment program provided to the ISU community. By exhibiting in rooms that are also used as meeting spaces, thousands of people who might not otherwise seek out art exhibits are able to experience them.
