Student Organization Sales and Booths

The Student Organizations Sales and Booth tent will be open from 10 AM-5 PM. 

American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior: The Behavior Club from Vet Med will represent veterinary medicine and answer what we do as a club! We will be selling merchandise to fund raise for future speakers and giving out free Kong Keychains!

College of Veterinary Medicine Integrative Medicine Club: We are a group of students interested/dedicated to the implementation of many aspects of Veterinary medicine. We focus on the integration of Western and Eastern techniques, such as Chinese herbs, chiropractic, laser therapy, acupuncture, etc. We believe that the use of these techniques can make us more effective doctors and provide out clients and patients options and greater individual care.

Culinary Science Club: Come learn about our experiences in the club and about our majors in the Food Science and Human Nutrition Department. Come enjoy some of our Caramel corn!

Dance Marathon-Dunking for a Difference: Swing by to take a chance on the Dance Marathon dunk tank! Keep an eye out for the floating lucky ducks to increase your chance to win an awesome prize!

Egyptian Students Association: Come take pictures in our Pharaoh costumes. We will have souvenirs including papyrus Egyptian handmade decorative paper and small statues!

Freshmen Council-Fish Cup: Our game will feature multiple cups filled water, some have fish inside. If you can land a ping-pong ball in one of the fish cups, you will win a prize!

Global Resource Systems Ambassador: Come join Global Resource Systems (GRS) and learn about world issues and coursework at Iowa State!

Grandma Mojo's Moonshine Revival: Stop by and chat with the Mojos! We will be taking suggestions for our podcast AND upcoming show later today. You can also learn about our upcoming shows, podcasts, and auditions!

Insect Zoo Entomology: Get hands-on and buggie with the Iowa State University Insect Zoo. Our display will feature more than 70 species of insects, tarantulas, millipedes and more! There will be many hands-on opportunities and lots of information shared on these wonderful creatures.

Iowa State Daily: The Iowa State Daily will be handing out Daily Dose cups and have publications available for students to pick up.

Iowa State Engineers' Week: Engineers' Week will be selling sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, and tumblers, and will be promoting the College of Engineering.

Iowa State University Psychology Club: We will have miracle fruit that will alter your taste buds! We also have distortion goggles. You can try to throw a ball into the basket. Come check out our mirror tracers where the participant will outline a shape through the reflection of a mirror. Come learn more about our clubs’ functions!

Iowa State SAE: Iowa State SAE is one of the largest SAE student chapters in the world, with over 200 students from around the university. We design, build, and manufacture vehicles to compete in 8 international events each year in addition to representing Iowa State University and our sponsors through K-12 STEM outreach. Come and take a picture in one of our cars!

ISU College of Veterinary Medicine Class of 2020: The ISU CVM Class of 2020 booth will have ISU Vet Med related merchandise for sale. Students will also be available to field any questions visitors might have regarding the ISU veterinary medicine program.

ISU AfterDark-Photo Booth: Come take pictures in our dark booth to take home a photo strip to remember Cyclone Carnival. We will have information about our upcoming fall events.

ISU Good Earth Student Farm: The Good Earth Student Farm will be holding a raffle with the following prizes: 1st prize-A share box of produce, to be given out during the upcoming 2018 growing season, 2nd prize-vegetable starts for spring planting and third prize a farm tour. We will also be offering full paid shares to ISU Staff, Faculty and students for the entire 2018 growing season. The ISU Good Earth Student farm produces weekly Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) share boxes for its members from mid-May through late September.

ISU Horticulture Club-Succulent Sale: The ISU Horticulture Club will be selling succulents in thrifty containers such as: coffee mugs, teacups, jars, cans, etc. They will range in price from $5 to $10. There will also be information about the Horticulture Club along with an activity.

ISU Pre-Veterinary Club-First Aid Kits for Pets: Pet emergency! Are you ready? Get your pet first aid kit today.

ISU Vet Med AASRP Club: The ISU Veterinary Student Small Ruminant Club will be promoting and educating the public about their club involvement and the industry and role of small ruminants in agriculture. We also will be selling our homemade goat milk lotion at this event.

Line Dancing Club: Come listen to country music as you learn about our upcoming events and our club!

Live Yoga Live Green: A mantra meditation station for hands on experience; henna; gopi dots face painting; and, books on yoga, meditation and vegetarian cooking. While meditation station, henna and gopi dots painting are free of cost, books are available for a donation. All the profit from book distribution goes to charities.

Mariachi Los Amigos de ISU: We will be selling key chains and hair pieces!

Microbiology Graduate Student Organization: We will be selling handmade, natural, unscented soap made by the microbiologists of the Microbiology Graduate Student Organization.

Pakistan Student Association: Pakistan Student Association, PSA, aims to provide a cultural, historical and political link to Pakistan for students and faculty of ISU and community at large. We will have some fun activities, small board games, and photo booth.

Phi Tau Sigma-What’s In My Food?: Several hands-on activities with information about food and the food industry will be presented to increase public awareness about the food industry.

Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity-Fish Bowl: Throwback to your childhood and play a classic carnival game: Fish Bowl! Win prizes, such as food or a t-shirt, and get a temporary tattoo!

SAVMA Auxiliary: SAVMA Auxiliary will be selling t-shirts, providing face painting and a game called Bozo Buckets!

Student Alumni Leadership Council: The Student Alumni Leadership Council connects and involves students with Iowa State University through learning and leadership opportunities, events, services, and Iowa State traditions, while fostering a sense of loyalty and pride. Stop by to learn about the opportunities we have!

Student Chapter for Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Medicine: We will be educating the public on student life in veterinary school at ISU as well as some basic aspects to emergency medicine that pet owners can do at home! We will also be selling some clothing!

Student Government: We serve students and improve the student experience through advocacy and empowerment. Student Government is the student organization which represents all students at Iowa State University. Stop by to learn about our initiatives!

Students Helping Peers-The SHOP Food Pantry: Learn about the on-campus food pantry for students and staff, and win a free reusable SHOP bag by playing our non-perishable ring toss game! There will be a jar for monetary donations, and a box for non-perishable donations to benefit the food pantry.

Student Union Board: Come talk to us about our upcoming outdoor concert! We will have our Fetty Wap and Kyle cutouts to take pictures with!  Come ask us about all of our upcoming events.

We are a group of talented students that combine different elements of color guard-flag, dance, and rifle, to create a spectacular and artistic show.

C-Nettes

We will be doing HBCU majorette style dancing, we are an all girls dance team that promotes sisterhood and dance awareness.

Iowa State Stand Up Comedy

We would bring down a group of student comedians to run stand up comedy sets. For an event of this nature, we'd only allow comics that are able to run clean comedy. The number of comics we bring down depends on how much time we are allocated. The Iowa State Stand Up Comedy Club is a group of students what work to write, edit, and perform original stand up comedy routines. For Cyclone Carnival we'll bring out a group of experienced student comedians who have done numerous shows all over Ames and Central Iowa.

Live Yoga Live Life

We will be doing musical mantra meditation. It is an ancient meditation practice done to calm down the mind by letting it focus on the sound vibration of the chants. Its done in call and response fashion. A lead singer sings the chant and everyone responds by singing in chorus while meditating on the sound vibration. We would be using three types of musical instruments - harmonium, hand cymbals and drum.

Mariachi Los Amigos de ISU

Mariachi Los Amigos de ISU is an organization that plays folk music from Mexico. A mariachi consists of various instruments including but not limiting to: violins, violas, guitars, a guitarron, and vihuelas . Through music, this organization hopes to teach and spread the beauty of traditional Mexican music and culture.

Descarga Latin Dance 

Our performance will be between 4-5 minutes and feature a bachata dance which is a traditional Latin American dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. We will have two performers dancing to a remix of Whatever it Takes by Imagine Dragons. Two members of Descarga Latin Dance Club's performance team will be presenting bachata, a Latin American partner dance. The dance originated in the Dominican Republic and is danced to a style of music also called bachata. The song for today's performance is Whatever it Takes (Bachata Remix) by DJ Piolo and Imagine Dragons.

Grandma Mojos Moonshine Revival

Improv comedy show that emphasizes audience involvement. We fit our show to any length of time. We are looking to have a table and field audience suggestions before our show, so if it's possible to have our show later in the day that would be awesome. Grandma Mojo's Moonshine Revival is an improv comedy troupe that is fueled entirely by the suggestions of the audience. Stop by for a comedy show made by YOU!
